Dropshipping is a retailing method where a shop does not stock the products it sells. When a shop sells a product using the dropshipping model, they buy the item from a third party and ship it directly to the customer. So the seller does not have to manage and take care of the product directly. Dropshipping isn’t like the traditional retail model since a retail merchant would stock or own inventory. Whereas in dropshipping, the seller acquires inventory as needed (based on the confirmed orders) from a wholesaler or manufacturer directly and fulfil those orders.
